Directing your gift -- Endowment Opportunities
You may prefer to direct your gift for a special purpose thereby assuring that your assets will be working in a meaningful way. In addition, a directed gift to the endowment also ensures that your name, or the name of a family member or friend, will be remembered in perpetuity.
Endowing an Annual Fund Gift $2,000+
Continuing your annual fund giving is a way to assist in the
essential support of the College's daily operations. We can
determine the specific amount that will allow your annual fund gift
to support the College in perpetuity. Example: a bequest of $2,000
at an annual return rate of 5% equates to $100 in income in your
name each and every year.
Named Award $10,000+
An endowed award is an opportunity to recognize a student
talented in his or her academic field (given each year at Honors
Convocation).
Named Book Fund $25,000+
Endowment income from a Book Fund supports purchase of books
or other materials for the library in a specific field. Income may also
fund preservation of books, cataloging or other library expenses.
Named Scholarship $50,000+
An endowed scholarship provides awards to students based on
financial need or academic merit, or both.
Named Lectureship $100,000+
An endowed lectureship provides funding to support travel
expenses, fees and housing for speakers invited to Saint Rose.
Named Professorship $500,000+
Allows the College to support the teaching, research and
professional development of an outstanding faculty member.
Named Chair $1,500,000+
A means of retaining or attracting a person of distinguished
academic accomplishment, the award provides perpetual support
for compensation (salary increase or supplement), professional
development and research expenses.
